CINEMA TEMPORARILY SHUTTING DOORS

Wellrock Cinemas will close its doors today for four months while it undergoes renovations to its lobby and food counter.

After heavy donations from a charitable drive, the owner of the cinema, Sam Wellrock, said it was a bittersweet moment.

"As sad as I feel it might be to lose an icon like this for four months, we'll be re-opening in the winter with a better movie-going experience." Wellrock went on to say they would be opening their new doors with half-price movie tickets for the first two weeks.

The Wellrock Cinemas have been open for 16 years and a recent donation push brought in over 25 thousand dollars to be put towards renovating the old structure that stands in the heart of town.
