POLICE RELEASE GOODIS RANSOM TAPE
Area scientist, Andrew Goodis, whose dramatic abduction two weeks ago shocked this community, is believed to still be alive after the release today of a dramatic ransom video.
Police are currently examining the dramatic home video which depicts Goodis' capture just moments after parking and exiting his car on a quiet street not far from his residence. The tape reveals a white van pulling up and a masked man forcing Goodis into the van. Eye witnesses say the van's license plates were taped over.

A new exhibition of photography from area resident, Sarah Tayski, will be on display in the town hall lobby for the next six weeks. Tayski has been a photojournalist for various international publications. The show is entitled: Slums, Sky Scrapers and Snakes. The County Zoning Board has approved an application by the investment group Stone Brand Builders for permits to build a new restaurant at the end of Main Street. Two men were arrested late last night after local and state police raided their home and found homemade whiskey, bootlegging equipment and supplies. Ronald Sheens, 42, and Donald Satellite, 32, were charged with illegal possession of controlled substance, bootlegging and conspiracy to cross state lines with alcohol. Police raided the home they share after a long investigation led them to the house where it is alleged the two men have been running a bootlegging ring for the past twelve years. Full Article |
